We are a small training company that wants to help better dog human relationships one dog at a time. We teach both dog and human life skills, leash skills, obedience and housebreaking. We want to help you have the life you always dreamed of with your dog.

With 15 years of experience as accredited positive reinforcement trainers, we provide clients with integrative dog training and behavior modification services. Our mission is to share our knowledge, experience and passion for dogs with our clients so they and their dogs can develop a mutually loving and respectful relationship which contributes to the well-being of both. We prioritize personalized attention to you, your family and your dog by listening carefully to your needs, designing a unique program for you and your dog, and accompanying you throughout the journey.

I have been dog sitting & caring for pets for well over 30 years. We started our paid sitting in 2012 when our son wanted to pet sit to raise money for a school trip. I feel like our pets are more like children and are an expansion of our family. They deserve to showered with love, kindness & patience. I was raised in the country where we cared for a myriad of farm animals. I have worked with veterinarians assisting during surgery, medication administration and training. While I am not a paid professional trainer I have trained our last 3 dogs (2 Huskies and a Lab). I love the opportunity to meet new people and fur children and look forward to spending time with them throughout the day.

Dogs love me, and I love them. I've had dogs my whole life. Whether it's for a walk or an extended stay, I will treat your dog as though they're my own. We take long walks and go to the park daily. At home, they can use the fenced yard while supervised, but typically they're too tired and just want to relax and sleep. There are dog beds, bowls, toys, and a small crate. To develop strong bonds with the dogs, form cohesive packs, and ensure they get plenty of exercise, we do not use a car. We explore San Francisco on foot as we visit the local off leash dog parks. HFDT offers force-free, reward-based dog training from puppy I to adult reactive "aggressive" dogs. I work with ALL ages, sizes and breeds and tailor classes to promote demonstrable learning, real life skills and a happy dog.

We treat your pets like family and give your furry friends the same love and care they would receive from you! We offer a variety of services: dog walking & hikes, private walks, kennel-free boarding, drop-in visits, cat care and house sitting. Emily has been working in San Francisco as a certified dog trainer and walker for 15 years. She offers group walks for dogs who enjoy being around other dogs and people. She is experienced in helping with basic obedience and puppy training, as well as behavioral concerns, fear and aggression.
